Camping in Kasilof!

This weekend we went camping! We had such a great time! Landon and Whitney, Sarah's brother and sister-in-law were here visiting from Texas! So we took them camping! We drove 3 and half hours down to Kasilof.
We didn't leave Anchorage until 11 p.m., because Devin was working, and so was Sarah Cornett. So by the time we got the trailer ready and loaded, it was already late. BUT that's not a big deal in Alaska! We have day light until 12:30!!! Our drive in was ok, we didn't see a whole lot because it was getting dark. We did see two newborn moose twins with their momma. They looked like awkward skinny dogs with long legs, but they were precious! By the time we set up tents, and got into our sleeping bags, it was 4 am!!! So we watched the sun set and rise! At one point in our drive you could see the sun setting on your right, and the moon on your left!
Anyway, we got up at 7:30ish to start fishing! Unfortunately, we weren't able to catch anything. The salmon are not running quite yet. But it was still a lot of fun!!!

Jenna Burnett

I am still in awe of what I got to witness last night. A close friend of mine, Anna Burnett, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Jenna. She had a natural birth, and labored in the tub. Her husband Josh did a beautiful job coaching Anna! What a team! The nurses were impressed with how well the birth went, Anna pushed for 14 minutes. She is a strong woman! There wasn't a dry eye in the room when Jenna came into the world. Praise God for this miracle!

I got a mixer...

: ) and I love it!
